Blazers welcome new First Aid Trainer

The Blazers organization would like to welcome our newly appointed First Aid / Trainer to the #BlazeCrew. Darrell Symonds has come forward and is excited to take on this role for the Blazers and we are welcoming him aboard! He brings with him experience and a passion for the game and would like to care for and motivate all the players as well. If you see Darrell around the rink be sure to introduce yourself and give him a great Blazer’s welcome!
Here’s a bit about Darrell in his own words:
“I am 60 years old and am from Cape Sable Island where I grew up. I played a lot of sports growing up and was always very competitive. I worked as a Trainer in the EOJHL which is now the CCHL in Ontario and was with the Winchester Hawks. I have been into Body Building for two years and love keep in shape. I love sports a great deal and love to work with these young men to encourage them and be there for them. My family and I have lived in the USA for ten years and I also was into sports there playing softball and also became an umpire in WA which I really enjoyed umpiring with some pro umpires. This is our second time living in Lower Sackville and we love it here a great deal. I look forward to working with the coaches and especially the players on the Sackville Blazers this coming season.”
